Hannah & Saengta’s Romantic Elks Lodge Wedding with Mien Traditions

There’s something so magical about a wedding that blends cultural roots with modern romance, and Hannah & Saengta’s Elks Lodge wedding in Redding, CA was exactly that! From the very beginning, the day carried this warm, intentional energy, family traditions woven into every detail, heartfelt moments that brought everyone closer, and a celebration that felt uniquely theirs. It was romantic, vibey, and deeply unforgettable!

Honoring Tradition & Welcoming Guests

The morning started with Saengta and his family preparing in traditional Mien attire. Aunties, moms, and cousins filled the room, adjusting sashes, layering jewelry, and making sure every detail was perfect. Hannah joined in with her own Mien outfit, surrounded by the laughter and love of family, which set the tone for everything that followed. Together, they welcomed their guests with a tea ceremony, greeting everyone with candy, tea, and even tequila shots. It was a beautiful blend of honoring heritage while infusing their playful personalities, creating an atmosphere where every guest felt celebrated!

A Ceremony & Celebration Full of Heart

After changing into their wedding attire, Hannah & Saengta shared a private first look that was tender and emotional, followed by a sweet moment with their parents. Their ceremony, officiated by Hannah’s brother, was short and meaningful, complete with Saengta reading José Olivarez’s Let’s Get Married while their rings were passed around for a warming ritual with their closest family and friends. From there, the night flowed seamlessly into joy: a first dance, Hannah’s dance with her dad, and traditional Mien dances that filled the room with laughter. Hannah later slipped into her third look of the night and danced freely with her new husband, surrounded by family and friends who carried the celebration late into the evening!
