This Wedding at Whiskeytown Lake is such a good reminder that small doesn’t mean lacking. Jamie & Jason booked me for just two hours for their Redding mini wedding, and somehow, it still felt full, meaningful, and beautifully intentional. Both having been married before, they knew exactly what they wanted this day to be about: each other, their blended family, and creating memories that felt calm and real. No overthinking, no fluff, just the moments that mattered most!
A Wedding at Whiskeytown Lake That Felt Intentional From the Start
Before the ceremony, Jamie and Jason met me at Whiskeytown Lake at the Brandy Creek Boat Launch, about 20 minutes from their church. They shared a first look, spent time just the two of them along the shoreline, and stepped out onto the dock for portraits that felt quiet and grounding. This part of the day set the tone for everything that followed, relaxed, romantic, and completely unrushed. Even with a tight timeline, we moved efficiently and still created space for genuine connection.
A Cozy Ceremony Focused on Family and Meaning
The ceremony took place at Pilgrim Congregational Church in Redding and felt incredibly warm and personal. Jamie and Jason were especially excited to include their kids throughout different moments of the ceremony, making the day about more than just the two of them.
